The annual 5K Run, set for July 4th this summer, is canceled due to the coronavirus. We are disappointed that we will not see all the friends and families that enjoy the race. However, for those who want to run, while social distancing, the trails will be marked with arrows from Friday, July 3rd until Monday, July 6th. The route is posted below and will also be posted in the kiosk at the main entrance (Hwy 67). We look forward to seeing you next year Saturday, July 3rd, 2021!
KNC’s trails are open year-round for your enjoyment. Run or walk the trails anytime between dusk and dawn, but please remembering social distancing.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to our donors this year, Alice Morava and Bob and Tina Dillman. Their generosity is helping to cover this year’s existing expenses.

Thanks to all the runners and walkers who came out the 2019 KNC run on Saturday, July 6th. There were record numbers of runners in both races. 28 kids competed in the ¼ mile race and 249 runners completed the 5K. Aidan King was the overall winner in the male division and Brooke Wellhausen was the overall finisher in the female division. Pamela Christensen finished the race in a heavy downpour and won first place in her age division! There was water on the course due to all the rain, but everyone finished safely. One family of runners came all the way from Texas in their quest to run a 5K in all the states. Some participants were running to honor a friend or family.
Thanks to all the donors who make this race so affordable: the Otzen Family Foundation, Aurora Health Care, Advia Credit Union, MercyHealth, Bob and Tina Dillman, Café Calamari, Gage Marine, Lake Geneva Piggly Wiggly, Delavan Piggly Wiggly, Elkhorn Piggly Wiggly, Walworth Sentry, Williams Bay Subway, the Frosty Moose, Dip in the Bay, Walworth Sentry, and Music by the Lake.
And last, but certainly not least, are all the volunteers who make this event possible: Cole Bonder, Kraig Bonder, Erin Creed and daughters, Liz Cox, Marianne Fearing, Harold Friestad, Sally Gerson, Judy Hopkins, Jim Killian, Marianne Klemke, Jen McMannamy, Leslie Miller, Levi Myers, Scott Parker, Carol Remington, Mary Roth, Don Skalla, Danielle Simons, Kim Travis, Lynn Tucker, Dick Vandenbroucke, Jennifer Yunker, the Williams Bay Recreation Department, Williams Bay Fire and Rescue, the Williams Bay Police Department and Williams Bay Village Hall.
All proceeds of the race are used to maintain Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy. Thank-you for helping.
See you next year!
